To celebrate our 100th geocache, we have decided to hide one of our own, so a nice and easy one for you, whilst we get up and running with the process. This is pretty close to our home so we can easily check the the log has been signed to reflect the online logging of the cache ;), and we thought the perfect location for a family friendly cache is near a play area (photo attached), so the younger children can join in as well and potentially enjoy the facilities.
We've tried to place it off to a flank of the park and community centre itself, so as not to be in view of too many muggles, but could prove interesting if there is a game of pétanque in full swing!!
The housing estate that this spot is situated within has an expanse of flat, wide, smoothly tarmaced footpaths running thrr throughout, which are perfect for walking, cycling, scootering, skateboarding or rollerblading if children would like to have a blast about. This area is perfect for prams and wheelchairs as well although the cache itself is slightly off the path on an area of grass, but this is less than two meters.
We hope you enjoy our cache and hope to plant some more and gradually build up to some more exciting spots as time goes on, but watch out for another/others being placed in the area as it is an underused area, waiting to be enjoyed.
Happy hunting fellow geocachers :)
WELL DONE SAMBRYO ON BEING THE FTF WITHIN 26 MINUTES OF BEING PUBLISHED! :D
