Geocache Description:

GOING BATTY #65

Welcome to my new Bat caches.  When I lived in Missouri during the summer of 2003, I worked at Ozark Caverns within Lake of The Ozarks State Park. Ozark Caverns has remained mostly natural as there is no lighting installed in the caves, which makes it a great habitat for bats.  I learned quite a bit about bats and wanted to create a few bat puzzle caches: the "Bump In The Night" for Snag The Tag is the perfect time to do it too.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Bat Fact #65

Most bats choose suitable areas that already exist when they want to rest, rear young or hibernate, but some species build their own homes. Tent-making bats (Uroderma bilobatum) in Central and South America chew lines along the sides of leaves, creating shelters that fold over and protect them from weather and predators. A few species from India and Southeast Asia also chew tents out of leaves.
