AUGUST 2025
Our Book Club's first multi-geocache contained our journal compiled over 5 years from 2010 and was initially placed at the Polokwane Library. Our second journal which was placed here in Haenertsburg, was unfortunately removed by someone unknown during May 2025. We have therefore decided to move our first journal (5 years in a box), here to Haenertsburg, to replace the unfortunate loss of the second journal (Another 5 years in a box).
Our geocache is a different type of geocache compared to the general, more traditional ones and adds a fun element to the experience. The format is an A4 book placed inside a red waterproof zip-able bag. We chose the picturesque tourist town of Haenertsburg dotted with local eateries, breweries and hiking trails as the setting. The area around the Haenertsburg Book Shop was the obvious choice as it reflects our love for books. It is not placed inside the shop but in very close proximity and is accessible 24/7.
