Surrounded by dry Karoo scrubland, the scenic road towards Murraysburg is a pleasant trip for those in the area. Since there appears to be a shortage of caches around Aberdeen, this one will hopefully contribute towards the activities of any keen geocachers finding themselves out here.
Take a slow drive along the road to witness the spectacular mountains, the historic farm houses, windmills surrounded by Angora goats, and the local bird life that is unique to the Karoo.
Locating the cache:
The cache is placed in the first drainage line gutter along the road heading towards Murraysburg. It is on the right hand side of the road, and you may need to stretch down a bit to see it in the gutter. Be careful of the prickly Acacia trees that surround the gutter, and be sure to wedge the cache in as found.
