Geocache Description:

‘Snakey Lane’, (see GC8M7A0) from the old Wesleyan Chapel (erected 1832) at the end of Chapel Lane Pwllmeyric to Mathern, is bisected here at the top of Newton Meadows beneath a magnificent spreading oak tree, by the footpath from Mathern to Bulwark. This footpath heads across the parkland of the Wyelands Estate heading East towards St. Tewdric’s house and GC7R6X4 The Green Green Grass of Home.

To the North back along Snakey Lane is a line of beech trees known as ‘Cooper’s Brake’ and to the South, Snakey Lane is separated from Wyelands by the wall of the estate and eventually becomes Arnold’s lane (see GC8M7A6 Wyelands View)

The location affords some lovely views across the local village towards the Severn estuary. There are a number of stiles to cross so please take care; also be aware that at certain times of the year there will be livestock present in the adjacent fields. Please keep dogs on a lead and observe the Country Code at all times.
