Many thanks to Max Piper (Tors of Dartmoor Database) for this photo.
Can I please suggest that if you are planning to publish a nearby cache on the day of this event, please choose a time at least an hour BEFORE the start, or AFTER the event has ended. This should prevent disruption to the event.
This is the third of the Dartmoor Tors monthly events as announced and discussed in the Dartmoor Geocaching FB group.
After the success of the first event in this series we will be hoping for another good attendance, but we do realise this will now be November and not September!
As discussed these events will alternate between "remote" tors, more than a mile from the nearest logical parking and "more accessible" tors, less than a mile. When I selected the tors to go into the "remote" pot to be drawn I was very much aware of the month and only included those tors which only just exceeded one mile.
At each event the location for the event 2 months ahead will be chosen. All events will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon. This will allow for the events to be incorporated into a much longer walk should you so decide.
If you decide to park at Whiteworks it is strongly advised NOT to cross Foxtor Mires using the bridleway.
Please remember that the weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing.
