Aurinko - Aurora
1600-luvulla Galileo Galilei ja Pierre Gassendi keksivät nimen Aurora Borealis, joka tarkoitti pohjoista aamuruskoa. Aurora oli roomalainen aamun jumalatar ja Borealis kreikkalainen pohjoistuulen jumala.
Aurinko synnyttää revontulia yhdessä maan magneettikentän kanssa. Inarilaisen valokuvaajan ja revontulten kuvaajan Martti Rikkosen mukaan “ revontulet ovat leimuavat terveiset maapallolle kaiken elämän ylläpitäjältä, auringolta”.
Kätkö oli aiemmin osa alueella sijainnutta kätkösarjaa. Annetaan 547 favoa keränneelle kätkölle vielä jatkoaika.

The first uses of the term "aurora borealis" date to the 17th century in the writings of Galileo Galilei and Pierre Gassendi. It meant ‘northern dawn’: Aurora was the Roman goddess of dawn and "borealis" comes from Boreas, the Greek god of the North Wind.
The aurora is caused by the sun's interaction with Earth’s magnetic field. Martti Rikkonen, a northern lights photographer, describes the lights as “flaming greetings from the sun, the source of energy for all living organisms on Earth”.
