At last, the track up to the Bluff repeater station has been opened to the public. After winding through the Wirrabara Forest area on maintained dirt roads, you arrive at a grid, and a narrow bitumen track to the carpark and viewing platform at the Bluff Lookout. The bitumen track to the top is narrow and quite steep in places, and not suitable for trailers or caravans. Please drive carefully!
At the lookout, views to Port Pirie, Port Germein, Stony Point are visible. The many mudbanks and sandbars in the bay area will also be visible, especially at low tide.
