La bella, tranquilla escursione, adatta anche alle famiglie, con vista sul Lago di Como e sulla catena montuosa circostante, conduce alla cache. Il Monte La Motta (1515 m s.l.m.) viene solitamente attraversato durante la scalata del Monte Durìa, ma è anche una bella meta finale nell'ambito di un'escursione più facile.
