Abby's magical abilities include popping in and out of thin air, floating when she's happy, and turning things into pumpkins. Her catchphrase is "That's so magic(al)!" She uses the phrase "Zippity-zap!" when casting a spell. Abby Cadabby debuted on Sesame Steet in 2006.
Sesame Street debuted as an educational television program for preschoolers in 1969. The show uses a combination of puppets, animation and live actors in short vignettes to teach reading, counting and math, cognitive processes, classification and basic life skills. In 2019, to celebrate the 50th Anniverary of Sesame Street, the US Postal Service released a sheet of stamps featuring 16 of the most popular and endearing Sesame Street puppets.
