Geocache Description:

I always wanted a Thruway cache so jumped when I saw this nearby one open up. Should be easy find, bring your own pen as no room for one.

Title is the last track on side one of Paul McCartney’s 2nd solo album Ram. This is my favorite Beatle solo album and it always makes me smile when I hear it, as this came from my Mom's record collection. The album is just so upbeat and Paul wrote it with his wife Linda while on their farm in Scotland as he was dealing with depression after the Beatle breakup. My mom introduced me to the Beatles and lately I have gotten back into them and have to say they are indeed the most talent band ever.

This album was panned by critics when first released, and the other Beatles hated it. John thought it had several jabs at him, whom Paul later admitted maybe sub-consciously he may have, um see the two beatles on back of cover ;-) Ringo said not a good song on it and that Paul had gone strange.  Year’s later critics now say it is a fantastic album and influenced the start of Indie rock. One of the songs that John thought was about him was actually about Linda’s first husband. Smile Away is a rocker with nonsense lyrics, but with Paul one just never knows…

I was walking down the street the other day,
Who did i meet?
I met a friend of mine and he did say:
"man, i can smell your feet a mile away."

Smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away,
Smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away.

Yeah, smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away,
Smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away.

I was walking down the street the other day,
Ah, who did i meet?
I met a friend of mine and he just said:
"man, i can smell your breath a mile away."

Smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away, oh,
Ho! smile away, smile away, smile away, yeah, smile away.

Ah, smile away sweetly now,
Come on now, ooh, sweetly smile away,
Yes, sir! smile away,
Now, smile away quietly now,
Oooh, ho, ho, ho.

Smile away horribly now,
Smile away, smile away, smile away,
Yes, sir! smile away,
Ah-oh,
Ooh.

Ah, who did i meet?
I met a friend of mine and he did say:
"man, i can smell your teeth a mile away."

Smile away, uhhh, smile away, uhhh,
Smile away, uhhh, smile away, uhhh,
Smile away, uhhh, smile away, uhhh,
Smile away, uhhh, smile away,
