This is part of my Trainspotting Series. Us cachers enjoy making our hunts a great hobby. Well another hobby that exists out there is called Trainspotting, also known as railfanning. Yes, its those people you see beside the railroad tracks with a camera ready and waiting for their perfect shot or catch. This series will take you to many spots that has or could be used for this hobby. If your lucky enough to have a train go by while hunting for this cache, be sure to grab a photo and add to your log!
REMEMBER, Railroad safety is priority #1. Please stay off the tracks and be safe.
Caches will always be in a safe spot away from any danger.

Havelock holds a lot of history with the CP line that runs through the town. For years locals would see the passenger transportation service roll through stopping at the local trainstation that is now a restaurant today. A station was here in the 1800's but the building you now see here was built in ther 1920's. You will note the yard here is larger than most along this line. That is because it was the divisional point between Toronto and Smith Falls.
Today its best not to hold your breath for a train picture here. Locals here are lucky to see a freight train go by once and a while so if you do see a train, I encourage you to snap a pic and post it on your log. I have only ever seen a train once in my life rolling through here. In the mean time, you will see staged freight cars you can snap. Also enjoy your lunch near the CP caboose along Hwy 7.
