Geocache Description:

Traditional cache near historic Crawfish Springs. You are looking for a camo'd metal container tucked in the above-ground roots of a tree that has been growing here near the water tower possibly since the Civil War. Room for small swag and trackables, but BYOP.
Enjoy the beauty of the Springs, the history of the area, nearby earthcache and other caches, restaurants, shops, etc.

Chattanooga Area Cache Tour

This cache is part of a collaborative effort by Chattanooga Area Geocachers to kick off our annual "Deck the Firehalls" (DTFH) Christmas event.

Print off the tour passport, and collect code words found in each cache log.
Then bring your completed passport to "Deck the Firehalls" (GC8JZYJ) on December 12, 2021 for a chance to win some cool prizes.

This series of caches are permanent hides for visitors and locals alike to highlight the beautiful region we call home year around.

If you missed Deck the Firehalls in 2021, we would love for you to join us next year in 2022.
