We love playing board games. This cache puzzle is inspired by one of our favorite games to ride… er, I mean play!
Let’s go on a little journey.
We live in the wonderful Pacific Northwest, so let’s start in the Emerald City, where a good cup of coffee can always be had. From there, let’s hop a train through the Rockies to the Stampede City.
After our Canadian adventure, we should head to the Treasure State, with the motto “Oro y Plata” …maybe we will strike gold in the capital city?
From there, let’s ride to a rather famous railroad town. The Union Pacific Railroad started here and met the Central Pacific Railroad in Promontory, Utah in 1869.
After our fill of history at the Durham Museum, we are inspired by the rails and want to stay on for a few stops. Let’s roll through the home of the Chiefs and pass through the Gateway Arch, before disembarking to visit the Grand Ole Opry.
That was fun! From the Music City, let’s take a short jaunt to this capital city, known as the Big Peach.
Now let’s board the dining car and experience the Holy City, founded in 1670? Note: It took longer to get here than it should have; we were delayed due to a problem down the line. You better add one hour to our travel time.
After soaking in all of that southern charm, let’s head further south to the Magic City of white sand beaches and gleaming high-rises. I think we will end our journey here and soak up the sun for a while!

Are you ready for another trip?
Let’s start in the city that is home to the Johnson Space Center and the aptly named Rockets. Then we can take the very short trip to the “Big D” …a fitting name in a state where they say everything is bigger.
Let’s then punch our ticket for a trip to the capital city of the Sooner State.
Hold onto your things, we will gain some serious elevation as we travel to the Mile High City.
The air is thinner up here. We had to rest for two whole days before traveling again. You better put two big zeros in your travel log!
After catching our breath… Let’s gather some speed as we chug on down to the Valley of the Sun, where we can lounge poolside under the saguaros!
All that sun made us sleepy… on our next leg of the trip; we rode straight through the City of Angels and found ourselves disembarking in a rather hilly place, near the Golden Gate Bridge!
After admiring the bay from the pier, let’s journey North to our final destination… the City of Roses, where we like to keep it weird!
I hope you enjoyed riding the train with us! Don’t forget to check your ticket (you can use the geo-checker) before locating your luggage… er, the cache!
