When I did some brief research, I wasn't able to find much info about the track. If anyone has any links to any history of the track, please do share!
Some random facts about the track:
*Opened September 3, 1923
*The track was 1.25 miles
*Races were held every Flag Day and Labor Day
*The track was known as The Indy of the East
*75,000 - 80,000 people would fill the stands while another 30,000 - 50,000 would fill the infield.
*138.62 MPH was the fastest speed set at the track by Leon Duran
*Three men died while racing at the speedway. All three were Indy 500 winners
*The final race at the speedway was Labor Day 1931 which was also the last major board track event run in the country
