I was walking the dog one day when I came upon this gem! I immediately thought I had to place a cache here. I went back home all a stir. A few weeks later I had my plan on how to do it and was ready to place it. Today I came back with the dog and set it up. Thank you to savagecachers for the host and allowing placement there.
There used to be a great playground nearby, cloesr to frumiousb's Doggo Walking: Alice Never Lived Here (GC8M1Z3). It was a unique playground in that it was mostly wood and was modeled like a ship so we dubbed it The Pirate Playground. It was demolished a couple years back and replaced with a lonely swing set. This cache is placed partly to commemorate it. I have placed a trailhead waypoint if you want to see where it was after you find the cache. It is a fun, short walk away, but as I said, there isn't anything there anymore.
There is no room for trading, just a logbook. BYOP.
I do not recommend looking for this at night just because it is in the middle of a neighborhood.
