Geocache Description:

A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident experts, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) And Calypso (Beckgizs geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much she approves of this park! đŸ¶ we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony and Calypso had testing each of these parks out 😉 and on that note here is their opinion of this park:

Century Drive Park

This off leash park is hidden between Bentons and Craigie roads and is a nice large, treed area for your furry friend to roam. At the back of the park there is the Balcombe creek walk that goes all the way to Craigie road so if you happen to be going this way anyway why not collect "Balcombe creek" while you're Here? The park itself isn't too bad, plenty of room for a run, shade, seats and a bin but it is NOT fully fenced! So if you have a puppy you can't trust then this park is not for you! Because of this Ebony and Caly rate this park 4 out of 5 paws.

The breed we have chosen for this park is another well known and popular breed in Australia:

BORDER COLLIE

The Border Collie is a working and herding dog breed. They come from the Anglo-Scottish border region and are used to herd livestock, specifically sheep. The Border Collie is considered a highly intelligent, extremely energetic, acrobatic and athletic dog. Collies' are eager to please and highly trainable but don't let that fool you they still need an owner that's willing to put in the work but if you can then you will have a best friend for life! Definitely a good family dog but better suited to a high energy family with possibly older kids as they require a LOT of exercise!
