Geocache Description:

Protein Shake

This cache is not at the listed coordinates. The final GZ is however within a mile of this location at:

N52° 45.??? W001° 30.???

Solve the puzzle below to find the correct values for the missing coordinates…

"The ribosomes have gone on strike… you will need to take on their role if you want to discover the missing values in the partial coordinates. Please find their (now your) work below."

The correct coordinates will take you to within a short distance of the oldest house in the village; a thatch of cruck frame construction which was most probably built somewhere in the mid to late 1600s and which featured on Gardener's World in the 1980s and again in 2024 for reasons which might be more obvious in the summer than in the winter! The GZ backs onto a private woodland consisting of 550 native trees which were planted (with the help of the National Forest and local primary school children) in 2006.

There is a low chance of muggles in this area and although the occupants of the nearest house (the landowners) are technically muggles, they are well aware of the cache and are supportive of geocaching and geocachers. If you do meet them (which is quite likely), try to avoid talking about gardening, you'll be there forever! Please note that there is no road up to, or parking available at the GZ despite what might be implied by Google maps!

The cache itself consists of a plastic waterproof container in which there is a log, pen, and quite a few child-friendly swaps to get things started. If found please replace and add a bit of leaf litter and the like to keep it from being too overtly visible.

Best of Luck

Hattie and Tomtom
