The Gascoyne River is Western Australia's longest river at 834km in length. This geocache will take you to middle branch of the Gascoyne River. When there is low water (which is often), you can drive across the concrete causeway otherwise you will pass over a large bridge on the Great Northern Highway.
It's a beautiful spot and if there is water in the river then it is magical. If you travel along the gravel road parallel to the river on the north side there are picnic tables and loads of spots to camp (which we have done). It better here than the South Branch or sharing a patch of dirt at Kumarina. Spoil yourself and park up here.
The cache is a mega-bison and Axell33 has kindly offered to maintain the cache as he travels this road on a regular basis.
