A long time ago, there was a large blue swamp near here, and the origin of the name Aoi Shrine comes from it. The front shrine was rebuilt in 1974, but the main shrine was built around 1650 (370 years ago) and is designated as a cultural property of Inagi City. The lion dance, which is demonstrated in the festival on October 1st, is also a designated art of the city.
昔この近くには大きな青い沼がありその神霊を祀ったのが青謂神社の起源です。社殿は1974年に再建されたものですが、本殿は1650年頃（370年前）に作られたもので稲城市の文化財に指定されています。毎年10月1日の祭礼で行われる獅子舞も市の指定技芸です。
