Joy is a village in Mercer County, Illinois. The population was 417 in the 2010 census. The origin of the name: "Joy" was named when founded in 1869 after the president of the CB&Q Railroad, J.F. Joy.
Joy is located at 41°11′49″N 90°52′47″W. According to the 2010 census, Joy has a total area of 0.43 square miles, all land. Simple two stage multi.
