A multi with 6 waypoints, with a small walk around the Quarry Lake Reserve, between the North Shore Rowing and Kayak Clubs, and North Shore Hospital.
This concrete walkway opened in 2019 (300-metre long and 2-metre wide) across a thin slice of land between Lake Pupuke and the Quarry Lake.

This is one of the largest flatwater sprint clubs in the country, who welcome canoeist and kayakers of all ability levels.
The North Shore Radio Yacht Squadron (NSRYS) established in 1988, sail radio controlled yachts (International One Metre IOM's, Marblehead and A2 class) on the Quarry Lake.
Sail days for the IOM's are: Wednesday (AM) and Saturday (PM).
The goal structures on the Quarry lake you can see are used for Kayak Polo, the lake hosting regularly both local and national competitions.

Tōtara Haumaru

The North Shore's original Maternity hospital opened on 28 July 1958, and was demolished allowing for the building of Tōtara Haumaru which is due to open in 2023.
Tōtara Haumaru will be a four storey building, that will connect to the main hospital via a air bridge and includes up to eight operating theatres, four endoscopy rooms and 150 beds.
During site preparations a Tōtara tree was removed, whose timber will be used in wood carvings to be placed in the new facility.

The hospital's building foundation stone and plaque was moved to the gardens outside the Whenua Pupuke auditorium.
The original hospital had 44 maternity beds, six casualty beds, limited x-ray facilities, a blood bank, laboratory, and physiotherapy department.
Whenua Pupuke is the Clinical Skills Centre, located within is a procedures teaching space, a clinical teaching facility, clinical skills lab, and a 250 seat auditorium.

This location is near the boundary fence of Carmel College, a Catholic secondary school for girls. The school was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1957 starting with a student roll of only 15 girls. In 2021 its student roll had increased to over 1,050 students.
