Well, it's been a long time coming, but here it is: our first ever Seinfeld-themed geocache! We've been big fans of Seinfeld for a long time, and so many of our future geocaches will be named after references to scenes from Seinfeld episodes.
The title of this cache refers to the Season 3 classic, "The Subway." Kramer's story involves him taking the subway to go to court to pay for multiple fines on his car. While on the subway, Kramer overhears a conversation about a horse named Papanick that is guaranteed to win an upcoming horse race that pays out 30-to-1. Instead of going to court, Kramer heads to the OTB and uses his $600 court money to bet on Papanick, who wins the horse race. Papanick was named after Pete Papanickolas, who worked as the key grip on Seinfeld's production for all nine seasons.
Now on to the cache: it's a quick park and grab at the Phoenix OTB near County Route 57A and NY-481. Stealth may be required. Please replace exactly as found and bring your own pen. Good luck!
