Who shot arrows into a birdhouse? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SBS_Seekers: The rain, snow, and ice of this winter were not kind to this cache. The mechanism for delivering the log was frozen with no prospect of thawing until the crocus bloom. So I have taken it back to my shop where I have ideas about making it more waterproof. It will be back!

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed about 150' east of the western Blue Trail on a small hill in the Batchelder Town Forest, Loudon, NH.  It appears to be a birdhouse but the dowels ("arrows") must be manipulated to reveal the buffalo tube that holds the log.  The dowels are to be rotated, not pulled out of the birdhouse.  Only one of them will reveal the tube.  If you encounter strong resistance in twisting the dowels, stop.  Try the other direction.  Gentle twisting will reveal all.  I have no idea how the mechanical materials will hold up outdoors.  So please let me know if something doesn't seem to be working.
