Welcome to Tallgrass Park!
Tallgrass Park is approximately three acres. This neighborhood park has enough activities to do while also enough open green space to just enjoy being outdoors. While there is not really anything unique or special about the park it does get good use from the surrounding neighborhoods and a few daycares. Tallgrass Park is just a nice park to visit!
This park has a number of amenitites including:
- 1 restroom with men’s and women’s sides
- 1 picnic shelter with power
- 1 free standing grill
- playground with swings
- 1 sand volleyball court
- 1 permanent covered picnic table
History
The land for Tallgrass Park was acquired in 2001. The playground was built in 2003 with the restroom being added the next year. The picnic shelter was added in 2012. In 2020, the City added the sand volleyball court to make up for the lost court at McHardy Park due to flooding.
