Spirit Quest - Wilkeson Town Cemetery previously known as Knights of Pythias Cemetery
The cache is located on the edge of the cemetery and is well away from any graves. Do not attempt to access this cache from Johns road, there is no safe parking along there, instead enter the cemetery from Johns road (there is a waypoint for the enterance). It should be a very easy find especially with the use of the hint. As with any cemetery cache please be respectful of the grounds and any possible visitors or mourners that might not understand what we are doing. Limit your search to daylight hours only please. Even though there are no posted hours, do not seek this cache during hours of darkness, this is with respect to the cemetery.
Wilkeson Town Cemetery was originally known as the Knights of Pythias cemetery and was owned by local lodge #106, which is no longer active. It's hard to get exact dates, but the best I can tell though my rearch the Pythias lodge closed sometime in the late 50's or early 60's. It is unknown if the the town took over the cemetery right after the dislsionment of the lodge or if it was years later, or even when that might have been. What is know is that the town owns and manages the cemetery now, and that today it is called the Wilkeson town Cemetery. There are 465 internments.
