Geocache Description:

Totally Findable Tourist Caches

Welcome to Sydney

This series of geocaches is designed primarily with visitors to Sydney in mind who may have limited time and transport options and want a quick and easy find while out enjoying some sightseeing around this beautiful city.

All cache containers will be one of three types; a flat magnetic key case (MKC), a round film canister (FC or MFC for magnetic) or a fake rock (FR).

The hint will indicate the type of container used and will be very specific to help you find the cache easily. If you want a challenge to find this cache and don't wish to know exactly where it's hidden, do not look at the hint.

At each location you’ll be given some information about the site you are visiting.

Enjoy!

As you gaze out across the myriad of boats moored in the bay, have you ever wondered how many actually leave their mooring and go out for an enjoyable day on Sydney Harbour?

I would venture to say that, over a twelve month period, 95% of the boats in front of you are never taken out. How sad is that when we have arguably the absolute best harbour in the world as our playground?

How many types of boats you can see? Now you may beg to differ but actually, in my mind, there's only two types of boats..... Real Boats and Stink Boats. The Real Boats are the ones with a mast raised. You see, anybody can turn a key to start a motor on a stink boat, push a throttle lever to get power and turn a wheel to go where you want the boat to go. However, it takes real skill to be able to read the wind direction, to feel the strength of that wind, to set your sails at just the right angle and to constantly monitor the forces of nature in order to propel your sailing boat forward, even against the direction of where the wind is coming from. How exhilarating to feel the wind in your hair and the heel of the boat!!

Can you tell which type of boat I prefer?????
