
This cache was archived (stupid me) and has now been replaced. The heavy rains that saturated Dallas the spring of 2015 brought more than 13 feet of standing water forcing the park to shut its gates. The flooding caused by the rain submerged many of the popular trails, camping grounds and swimming areas, rendering them useless for more than six months.
Here you can see just how bad the damage was. Before, there was no cliff here. Now there’s a 10 foot drop off as this was all washed away.
Permit is on file at the park office.
Avoid the use of acronym only logs and cut 'n paste logs. You must sign the log to claim the find. Blank logs and double logs may be deleted without notice. No exceptions, no excuses!
