The 39th parallel is considered the heart of America. It crosses the United States at its center and also goes over the largest number of US States, 15. Only one other parallel goes through as many states, the 41st parallel. The 39th parallel goes through parts of the following states: New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia,West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California. In 2019, we moved from California to Maryland with four months spent living in Northern Virginia.
To claim this challenge, all you need is one find in each of the states mentioned above. That will give you a straight line from Sea to Shining Sea. The cache is rated given the difficulty and all the terrain you'll need to cover to get all of those finds. The challenge cache itself is probably a D/T of 1.5/1.5.
