“lend a hand to improve the geocaching game board (i.e. planet Earth)"
The beach itself is mostly unsuitable for buggies, young children and anyone with mobility difficulties (though there is a more suitable track just above the beach).
Go to the end of Moor Road, turn to the left and park. Please park considerately as other motorists may be using the beach.
Litter pickers & bags etc will be provided on the day. Please bring gloves if you have them.
The restrictions in NI, at the time of submitting this event, allow for a gathering of 30 people outdoors without a risk assessment, I do not anticipate there being more than 30 people present but please log a 'will attend', so that I can keep an eye on numbers and take any relevant further action as required to keep us within the rules. Please advise of the number in your group where appropriate.
Please respect all the Covid-19 regulations, if you have recently tested postive for COVID-19 or have any symptoms then unfortunately you should not attend this event.
A big thank you to Nicola from 'Keep NI Beautiful' for the loan of equipment and to Mourne Heritage Trust for the collection of the rubbish.
The weather can't be guaranteed, but let's hope there can be a bit of craic after the clean-up, unfortunately, for this one you'll have to bring your own refreshments and biccies.
By participating in this event, you de facto agree that your participation is at your own risk and the event hosts, Hasamelis, Keep NI Beautiful, or The Mourne Heritage Trust, will not be responsible for any accident, injury or loss to people or their belongings while participating in this event. Please exercise due caution at all times.
Most importantly off all - HAVE FUN - and look after each other!
