With a hiding spot like this I had to get a little more creative to use the space. Growing up I was big into baseball movies..."Field of Dreams" being my all time favorite... Another great one was "The Natural" with Robert Redford. When I saw this tree it reminded me of the opening scene when Roy Hobbs father passes away near a tree. This tree is struck by lightening shortly there-after and is destroyed. Roy chops a portion of the tree down and fashions his baseball bat from it. He names it "Wonderboy"
Welcome to the the E.G.S. (The Elk Grove Square) creative cache power trail. This route of 26 caches or so caches was created so that you could do the entire square in one long walk or ride without having to drive and stop constantly. Parking can be tricky at some of these. The geo-string spans west on Elk Grove Blvd, south down Bruceville Rd., east on Whitelock and then north up Big Horn, west on Lotz Parkway and finally north on Laguna Springs back to the start. We hope you enjoy the nice walk with loads of geocaches to find that are special in their own ways. Please let us know what you think!
