Belleau Woods Forest preserve is a natural area through which the Winfield Creek runs. It is surrounded by shopping malls and busy streets so it collects a lot of trash. A ranger from the DuPage County Forest Preserve will guide our group in removing trash from the area.
The preserve does not have its own parking lot. We will gather in the lot behind Jimmy John's. From there, the ranger will provide an orientation and instructions. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver.
Please feel free to bring your own gloves and grabbers if you have them. Dress appropriately for the weather and the work.
