Βλέποντας από κάτω την κορυφή του όρους Καδηστός από κάτω θα δείτε από όλη την περιοχή το εκκλησάκι του ΑΓΙΟΥ ΑΝΤΩΝΙΟΥ να λάμπει κατάλευκο στον ήλιο.

«Θεωρείται, μία σημαντική, αρχαία πόλη της Κρήτης, κτισμένη στο όρος Καδηστός, βορειοανατολικά από τη σημερινή Νεάπολη. Ιδρύθηκε τον 12ο αιώνα π.Χ. και άκμασε από τα Γεωμετρικά/Αρχαϊκά μέχρι και τα Ελληνιστικά χρόνια. Στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο υπάρχουν δύο ακροπόλεις και ανάµεσά τους, αγορά αρχαϊκής εποχής. Εκεί βρίσκεται και ο αρχαιότερος ναός γεωμετρικής εποχής, ∆ελφίνιο, που είναι αφιερωµένος στο θεό Απόλλωνα. Η πόλη καταστράφηκε από εμφύλιο πόλεμο που ξεκίνησε το 220 π.Χ.»
Κρίμα που η θύρα στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο είναι κλειστή οι περισσότερη ώρα. Η κρύπτη λοιπόν είναι εδώ κάτω στην είσοδο.
Αν είστε τυχεροί θα βρείτε την θύρα ξεκλείδωτη και μπορείτε να ανεβείτε στον Άγιο Αντώνιο μέσα από τα ερείπια του Δρυρού. Υπάρχει ένα μεγάλο άνοιγμα στον φράχτη στα αριστερά της θύρας. Αλλά αυτή η πρόσβαση δεν είναι πραγματικά επίσημη, παρόλο που εμείς περάσαμε από 'δω μια φορά για να είμαστε επιτέλους στην κορυφή.

Looking up to Mount Kadistos you will see from all the area the little church AGIOS ANTONIOS shining white in the sun.
At the site https://www.agiosnikolaoscrete.com/experiences/culture/archaeological-sites/ancient-driros/ is listed this information:
“Ancient Driros was an important city of Crete, and is built on Mount Kadistos, northeastern of current Neapoli. It was established in the 12th century BC, and flourished from the Geometric/Archaic eras until the Hellenistic years. The local archaeological site includes two acropolises and an agora from the Archaic era. Delfinio, the most ancient temple of the Geometric era, dedicated to Apollo, is located there, as well. The city was destroyed during the civil war that started on 220 BC.”
It's a shame that access to the site is mostly closed. So the cache is down here at the entrance to the archeological site.
If you are lucky you will find the gate unlocked and you can climb up to Agios Antonios through the ruins of Driros. There is a large opening in the fence to the left of the gate. But this access isn't really official, even though we slipped through it to finally be up there.

Auf dem Berg Kadistos oberhalb der antiken Stadt DRIROS leuchtet weithin sichtbar das kleine Kirchlein AGIOS ANTONIOS.
Auf der Seite https://www.agiosnikolaoscrete.com/de/experiences/culture/archaeological-sites/alte-driros/ steht zu DRIROS folgendes:
„Sie gilt als eine wichtige, antike Stadt Kretas, errichtet auf dem Berg Kadistos, nordöstlich der heutigen Stadt Neapoli. Sie wurde im 12. Jahrhundert v. Chr. bewohnt und blühte von den geometrischen / archaischen bis zu den hellenistischen Zeiten. In der archäologischen Stätte befinden sich zwei Akropolen und zwischen ihnen eine Agora aus der archaische Ära. Dort steht auch der älteste Tempel der geometrischen Epoche, Dolphinios, gewidmet dem Gott Apollo. Die Stadt wurde durch einen Bürgerkrieg zerstört, der 220 v. Chr. begann.“
Schade, dass der Zugang zu dem Gelände meist verschlossen ist. Daher liegt die Dose hier unten am Eingang zu der archäologischen Stätte.
Wer Glück hat, findet das Tor unverschlossen vor und kann durch die Ruinen von Driros hinauf zu Agios Antonios steigen. Links neben dem Tor ist zwar eine große Öffnung im Zaun. Aber so ganz offiziell ist dieser Zugang nicht, auch wenn wir dort schon hindurch geschlüpft sind, um endlich mal dort oben zu stehen.
