Hey Yall

Snapeismyhomie here, I recently started getting back into Geocaching after taking a few years off. While there is already a big community in Louisiana all of their events take place in New Orleans. Being a mom to a two year old and working full time its hard to get there on a week night. I wanted to start a small subgroup in the Ascension parish area with events/meetups always on the weekends to allow people more chances to come. Geocaching is a family friendly activity and I hope to implement that into our group. I will also be posting a flyer at the library to try and get some newbies! 

As were just getting started and i dont even know if anyone will show up no food or drink will be supplied bring your own please. Maybe in the future we can figure ot a food/drink situation.

Also since this will be a 101 type session for a lot of people feel free to bring your cache bags, path tags and geocoins. Whatever you can think of that might help explain things to newbies. This is my first event so if yall have any ideas/suggestions please let me know!
