棒道〜十一番聖観音

棒道とは戦国時代に武田信玄が北信濃攻略のために開発した軍用道路といわれています。
八ヶ岳西麓をまっすぐ貫く棒道は上中下の三本あります。ここは一番上の道となり、現韮崎市穴山から始まり長野盆地へと接続していました。
棒道沿いには六観音信仰の石仏が多く残っています。
キャッシュは十一番聖観音立像近くに設置しました。

Stick road ~ #11 ShoKannon

The stick road is said to be a military road developed by Shingen Takeda to capture Kita Shinano during the Warring States period.
There are three stick roads, upper, middle and lower, that run straight through the western foot of Yatsugatake. This was the top road, starting from Anayama, Nirasaki City, and connecting to the Nagano Basin.
Many stone Buddha statues of the Rokukannon worship remain along the stick road.
The cache was installed near the statue of No.11 ShoKannon.
