Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a community series of geocaches hidden in honor to our beloved geopal scareway who, for starters, is enthralled by all things Halloween and spooky/creepy. Using this concept as a basis, I believe, LFLibrarian masterminded this tribute series of cemetery hides.

Scareway is a champion of the adventure and challenge. He's been known to escort boat loads of passengers from island cache to island cache on Priest Lake and bound across county lines (past strings of LPCs and GRCs) and down miles of forest service roads for a single mountaintop treasure with a solo companion. When working on the Washington State Well Rounded (Fizzy) Cacher Challenge, ol' scare was more excited than I as my 81 D/T combos ticked down. He has always been the humble host, and he's always been more about quality over quantity. I can't think of a better and friendlier guy more deserving of a tribute series. Happy 60th Ross! Cheers!!!

Mica Creek Cemetery was established in 1905 according to the entrance sign. Church records indicate 1904 was its origin, but there are markers as early as the late 1890s. The original Warranty Deed for this cemetery says it was established Jun 01, 1900 and recorded Jun 15, 1900.
