🦀 " THE 3 CRABS " 🦀
The 3 Crabs restaurant was opened in 1958 by Ernest Marshall, his brother Iris, and business partner, Martha Loffler. In 1972, Ernest wife Norma Marshall became "crab #3". Later, in 1983, Norma purchased the restaurant from her late husband's estate where she owned and managed for 30 years. Department of Fish and Wildlife purchased the restaurant and the surrounding 52 acres in 2012 and demolished the restaurant in 2013 to make way for the nearshore and estuarine restoration project.
