🎄 ACS 6 - The Major Award Traditional Cache

This cache is part of a series about the movie ‘A Christmas Story.’ Set in the late 1930's the film centers around 9-year old Ralphie Parker's attemps to convince his mother to get him a Red Ryder B.B. gun for Christmas.  Have fun experiencing the whimsical moments that have made this movie a seasonal classic since 1983. Note 1: Tap the image on each cache page to see a movie clip of the cache's theme. Note 2: The hides are numbered to coincide with the order that their event appears in the movie. 

Ralphie's father wins a "major award" in a contest, which is a table lamp in the shape of a woman's leg. Mr. Parker is overjoyed but Mrs. Parker is not. During the rest of the week,"The Battle of the Lamp" ensues, ending with Mrs. Parker "accidentally" destroying it.
