Meet and greet for geocachers. Free entertainment to watch the polar bears jump in Big Cedar Lake! This is NOT for charity nor a fundraiser. Saturday, January 1st, 2021, 12:30pm-2:30pm (Come early for good parking). Overflow Parking at the Boat Launch on Gonring Dr. OR park on the West side of the street (safely). Family Friendly Fun Event (Children need to be with an adult/guardian). 1:00pm is the Polar Bear Plunge. A release form must be signed before taking "the plunge." Polar Bear Plunge will take place at 1:00pm. The water depth is about waist deep on Wade/Dane (four feet deep). Think of it as a New Year's "Cleanse." Out with the old, in with the new you! If you can do this...you can do just about anything! Those who take the plunge will get free hot chocolate and bragging rights...the rest of us will cheer you on. Bring your camping chairs to sit and watch the polar bears. One new geocache will be released approximately at 2:00pm.
