Where: The sledding hill (at the posted coords)
Date: Saturday, January 1, 2022
Start Time: 1 pm
End Time: Officially - 2 pm. But if there's snow, there are typically people there until everyone is too tired or cold to keep going (usually a couple hours later.) So if you're late, come anyway for some good sledding and there might even still be some cachers there!
Bring your own sled/tube/skiis/snowboard/etc and dress warmly. There may not be snow but it will certainly be cold!
In the event that there is not enough snow, we will meet at the backup coordinates listed at Mantua City Park and simply have a meet 'n greet instead.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION
Based on cases trending downwards and wide availability of vaccines to those who choose them, we expect this event to occur as planned. If cases spike like they did this time last year, the event may be altered or cancelled, so make sure you post a Will Attend so you will get notified of any announcements. Regardless, please observe the following:
- Do not attend if you have any COVID-19, cold, or flu symptoms. This should go without saying and really applies every year whether there’s a pandemic or not, so…
- Practice and/or allow for good physical distancing. Just be aware that some people are being more cautious than others, so be aware of this and treat each other with respect.
- Out of an abundance of caution, no treats/drinks will be provided this year and do not bring any to share. Bringing a coffee, hot chocolate, etc. for your own consumption is just fine. Hopefully next year for lucky #13 this will have wound down and we can pig out on goodies again.
This is typically a well-attended event with many regular annual attendees, so let's have a great event that keeps everyone healthy.
