Another cache in the general vicinity of Shortoff Mountain at the southern entrance to Linville Gorge
There are a number of different ways to get to this cache. The listed parking area makes for the easiest and shortest route. You are looking at a couple of miles round-trip, with a decent amount of elevation gain. But the views are usually worth it! Both along the way and once you get to the "top".
The container is a small cube with a light green lid; the log is bright pink. [See spoiler photos loaded to page.] I do NOT recommend attempting this cache from the closest point along the main trail. You should get off the trail at about N 35 49.838 W 081 54.147 and work your way back. Reaching/finding the container requires a little climbing/bouldering, but it should be relatively easy for all.
