Welcome to Springborough! This geocache has been moved due to vandalism in its prevous location. It should be a fairly easy geocache to find, but use stealth as you will be near homes.
Parking is available on 26th ave. near the mailboxes. No need to go onto private property or get caught in rosebush thorns. Please place the geocache back as found.
As one of the first residents living in this neighbourhood, I decided to place a geocache here and share some history of its beginnings, as 19 years ago the land that you are standing on was a dairy farm. The owners, after declining prior offers to purchase their land more than once, decided that they would sell their land to make it possible for Canadian Bible College (now Ambrose University) to purchase and relocate onto this land from Regina,SK to Calgary.
The sale was finalized in 2002 with the college taking possession of 40 of the 131 acres and the developer the balance; as well as an agreement that the owners would continue to live in their farmhouse. They have since passed on but the home remains a residence at the junction of Springborough Blvd and 69th St. SW.Sadly another original farmhouse on this property was burned down by vandals soon after construction began.
