Welcome to the Doris McCarthy Trail. This short, 1km steep path leads through Gates Gully or Bellamy Ravine Creek before hitting Lake Ontario and the side of the Scarborough Bluffs. You will walk through a beautiful forest before arriving at the shore of Lake Ontario, where you will find an additional trail that will let you wander along the water.
Doris McCarthy (July 7, 1910 – November 25, 2010) was a Canadian artist known for her abstracted landscapes. Born in Calgary, AB, she spent most of her life teaching and creating art in Scarborough, ON. This trail is named in her honour.
This bonus cache can be found after completing the accompanying Adventure Lab, located along the Doris McCarthy Trail. Gather the required info as you complete the AL; the coordinates for this bonus cache will be given to you as you complete it.
