If you look carefully in this field, you might see Bill the Buffalo of Bandera. He is orignally from Corpus Christi and came to Bandera by way of a ranch near Boerne. He is an American Plains Bison, which is the US National Mammal.
Bill was bottle fed as a baby and then hand fed as he got older.
He has identified as a member of the people herd and would not survive with other Bisons
We have taught him how to graze in his field and now he seems to be loving life.
While Bill seems to be very friendly, he does not tolerate people touching him. So do not attempt to touch him.
