In the nineties, when the crane lived in Lyrup, this triangular corner block was known as Chook's place. There was a bit of an unofficial backpacker's here with a scattering of caravans for those who came to our area to pick fruit. We often met young travellers down at the club, who were staying up at Chook's place. Times change and these days the facilities are somewhat more upmarket. The cache is hidden in the roadside tree plantation, so no need to park or venture into the nearby establishment.
