Oh. Wait. You don't know who I am, do you? Well, allow me to (re-)ntroduce myself.
I go by Atlasean. You may know me (or even have met me) as the younger half of the duo that used the name The Wayland Cachers. Yes, that one - I'm the maker of all those devious question marks up by Wayland. You might have noticed that I have been inactive for about the last 3 years, give or take. What have I been doing in these past few years? Well, quite a bit has happened, you see...
I moved to Kalamazoo permanently in August 2018 for college and decided I needed to focus more on classes and less on fun stuff like caching. But I never truly gave up on caching... Even as I found other things to occupy my (little) free time in the intervening years, I was learning new information and storing it for the future, and this is one such puzzle I've been working on. I've grown up with Pokémon games, so it's only natural I would want to make a puzzle out of it.
I mention this because this puzzle is part of series I'll be putting out in the area. I noticed a nearby event for puzzle solving (I couldn't go, sadly) but also that there doesn't seem to be many puzzles published in the area for the last ten years... I can help rectify that. This series is a loose group of puzzle caches related to some activities I enjoy outside of caching. This puzzle isn't *really* related to Pokémon, but it is something I learned along the way. I realized that this would make the perfect puzzle and I've not seen one exactly like this before... So you're welcome. ;) Speaking of, here it is:

NOTE: Due to the nature of this puzzle, there is no solution checker. With rising gas prices, it's understandable if you don't want to waste time on a wild goose chase. However, I promise it will make sense once you solve the puzzle - if you're unsure of your solution, you probably haven't solved it correctly. The puzzle is actually pretty simple, part of the difficulty (and terrain) is also for the hunt, as you will see. I will also be happy to verify if your solution is correct via message. I just might be a little more obtuse before the FTF has been awarded... >:)
There is also a nice FTF prize in the cache, it's not too small to hold something...
