The Paradyskloof Nature Area (or Eden forest) is 280 hectares of pine trees and trails near Stellenbosch.
There is no access fee and parking is freely available.
Be on the lookout for mountain bike riders who also love this place and regularly share the trails with geocachers/hikers. Always look where you are walking because there are snakes in the area.
Dogs are allowed on leashes - no fires - no picking wild flowers.

The Paradyskloof Waterfall (and cave) trail is an out and back trail of 5km, with an elevation gain of 270m. The last 200m is particularly strenuous.
The trail is rated as moderate and is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
