UPDATED DESCRIPTION 10/15/2024
We're back with a regular sized cache with a waterproof logbook and tons of swag. This cache is disguised in plain site. The cache holder hold a secret just under the lid. The lid just lifts off exposing the inner holder. There is a bench nearby to record your find and avioid the akward stares from muggles. Coordinates are still correct + or - 2 feet. Happy Caching.

This former site of an 18 hole par 3 golf course had closed in 2015. Neighbors organized and met monthly for 5 years to convince Pinellas county to preserve this green space from developers who bought the parcel in 2015. The property had more than $500,000 in code violations. Luckily the surrounding residents prevailed and the Baypointe Golf Corse was spared from becoming homes. The county spent several months clearing the overgrown weeds and made the property safe for use. Currently there are over 2 miles of paved cart paths to walk. Several ponds line the 42 acre property which attract birds and other wildlife. No bush wacking is required. The county mows the grass about 15' on either side of the cart paths while the faiways and T boxes are allowed to grow providing places for wild flowers. While open to the public, the county is still actively working on the surrounding area. It takes about an hour to walk the entire course, though that is not required to find the cache. The back nine has a nice pond with benches on either side.
