Geocache Description:

The WIOUWASH State Trail, built on a former railroad corridor, gets its unique name from the four counties it runs through: Winnebago, Outagamie, Waupaca and Shawano. It is a relatively smooth and flat trail with a crushed limestone base. Walking, hiking, biking and horseback riding are popular activities on the WIOUWASH Trail during the summer. The soft surface and flat terrain of the trail make it an excellent place to train for a marathon. In the winter, the trail is used for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Over the last 16 years, the geocaches along this section have published and been archived. With a few openings, it was time for new reasons to visit this busy multi-season use trail.

The cache sits on the eastern side of the trail near the fenceline. Hidden so it may be found easily during the snowy months as well as the green months.
