Mount Archer is one of the main mountains in Rockhampton. It was explored by the Archer Brothers in 1853 and was later named after them. In 1898, the site of the park was set aside as a water reserve and then a timber reserve in 1940. This continued until 1985 and later the area came under the supervision of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
This cache is just an interesting little cache located at the beginning of Pilbeam Drive (the road up to the beautiful mountain, Mount Archer).
Sit down and relax at the table that is close by to the geocache and why not, while you're at it, go for a nice drive and explore Mount Archer National park via Pilbeam Drive! Enjoy the search from Maddyhq!!!
